Pete Bartel, P.T. Pete Bartel, P.T.
Pete graduated cum laude in 1975 from the University of Washington. He practiced at local hospitals and Kaiser Home Health until opening BGPT in 1987 and RPT in 2007. He is active in the Washington Chapter of the American PT Association. His main focus has been orthopedics, especially knee, ankle, and shoulder and some neuro. His family has lived in Ridgefield since the 1880’s. He is married and has raised 3 daughters. He served 26 years as a volunteer firefighter/EMT and has helped with Battle Ground and Prairie High school’s Health Occupations classes for over 20 years.

 

 

Tom Keith, P.T. Tom Keith, P.T.
Tom is from Eastern Washington, attended WSU, and graduated in PT in 1974 from the University of Iowa. He worked in a regional trauma center and private practice in Chicago before moving back to Washington to work in local hospitals. He is experienced with injured workers and was the Director of Mt. View Rehab until 1994 when he joined BGPT. He has an extensive orthopedic background. He is married and has a grown daughter and son and is an avid hunter.

 

 

Christy Mackiewicz, P.T. Christy Mackiewicz, P.T.
Christy hails from California and graduated in PT in 1986 from California State University Long Beach. She has experience with pediatrics working in Los Angeles, CA before taking a job with SWMC. She became the lead orthopedic therapist there until joining BGPT in 2002. She is married with twin daughters and lives in Battle Ground. She enjoys sunny days at the beach (or “the coast” as Pacific Northwesterners say).

 

 

Nic Patee, D.P.T. Nic Patee, D.P.T.
Nic graduated from Arizona School of Health Science with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2009. He pitched Ridgefield High School to the Washington State championship in 2002. He pitched in college as well, so has a special interest in baseball injuries, especially to the shoulder. He also consults in industry for workers’ injuries. He is married and has one child. He lives in Woodland.

 

 

 

Our Assistants:

Corrine Prather, PTA Corrine Prather, PTA
Corrine became interested in PT as a patient at Battle Ground PT and through the Health Occupations Class at Battle Ground High School.  She graduated from Western Washington University in Pre-Physical Therapy and got her PTA degree at Mt. Hood Community College.  She first started working at Battle Ground PT as a receptionist and then a PT Assistant after graduation in 2008.  She and her husband live in Yacolt and are proud parents of Randy, who was born in January 2010.  Her hobbies include hiking, playing with her 2 dogs, and cribbage.

 

 

Mary Anne Ryerse, PTA Mary Anne Ryerse, PTA
Mary Anne was born in Belleville, Illinois and graduated from SW Illinois College in 1975.  She worked at an outpatient PT orthopedic office in Vancouver until 1999 when she started work at Battle Ground PT.  She helps mentor our students from local schools.  She enjoys gardening, various volk marches, and high powered rocketry with her husband.  She lives in Meadow Glade.

 

 

 

Duana Williams, PTA Duana Williams, PTA
Duana grew up in northern California and graduated as a PTA in 1991 from Mt. Hood Community College.  She had worked in therapy in Vancouver prior to joining Battle Ground PT in 1991.  Primarily she has worked full time in orthopedics.  Her hobbies/interests include flying kites, doing beadwork, and making jewelry.  Duana and her husband live in Yacolt when they aren't relaxing at their property on Long Beach.
