  3. Can physical therapy help my problem?
We treat all types of musculoskeletal and neurologic problems (see our page on treatments). Typically after a therapist performs a thorough evaluation of your specific problem, they can give you a good idea whether PT might help. Our focus is on educating the patient about their problem and methods of self-care, such as proper exercises or posture, gait, prevention activities, etc. But, we also apply direct, hands-on care as needed.

  4. Do you treat sports injuries?
Yes. We have extensive experience with a multitude of athletic injuries and try to get the patient back to their sport as quickly and safely as possible.

  5. Do I need a doctor’s order?
No, not necessarily. Under Washington state law a doctor’s order is not required. However, many insurances do require an order from a doctor, physician’s assistant, or nurse practitioner, and most of our patients have been referred by a doctor. We suggest you contact your insurance as to whether you need a doctor’s order.

  6. Who decides where I go for PT?
YOU DO!!! You may choose any PT office you want. In fact, even if your physician owns his own PT office, Washington state law requires him to give you a written list of options of alternative PT offices. We suggest you check convenience of location and cost before selecting a PT office. Then visit the facility to see if you are comfortable with their therapists and style. IT’S YOUR BODY; IT’S YOUR CHOICE

  7. How much does PT cost?
This varies widely by location as well as the length of treatment sessions and the duration you will need PT. We have made a concerted effort to keep our PT charges among the lowest in Clark County. Except for our initial evaluation or for visits lasting over one hour, our typical charge is between $60 and $140. In 2009, our average visit charge was $105.

We accept most insurances and are a preferred provider for many. We suggest you contact your insurance personally. A partial list of major insurances we accept can be found by clicking on our “Insurance” tab.

  9. What if I have Kaiser insurance?
Generally, Kaiser has their own therapists. However, if you are a Kaiser patient with a claim through worker’s comp or have third-party liability such as from a car accident, you are free to go outside the Kaiser system. We regularly work with some Kaiser doctors. We recommend you get a doctor’s order for insurance purposes.

  10. What if I don’t have insurance?
We can help! As mentioned above, we try to keep our charges low and also offer a 20% discount for cash patients if they pay at the time of visit. Others may choose to make payments over time.
