About Us
Battle Ground Physical Therapy was started in the 1980's by a PT from Chehalis. Pete Bartel and 3 silent partners purchased the business in December 1987 and he bought out the partners' interests in 1996. He has watched the business grow from a single PT with Shawn Silverson as the receptionist/typist/billing clerk /PT aide to 5 PT's, 3 PTA's, and 4 office staff. Shawn remains the overall business manager.
Battle Ground PT moved from the old NW National Bank building to its present site in the Battle Ground Marketplace (Albertson's) in 1999. Because Pete has always lived in Ridgefield, he was excited to open a branch office in his hometown in 2007 at the Ridgefield I-5 junction.
Being a lifelong resident, building and keeping a good business reputation in the community has been of key importance. This entailed being genuinely concerned about each and every patient and making a concerted effort to help them recover and regain their highest level of function. To do this, our focus has been on the success of our patients rather than on profits. We feel if our patients succeed, we succeed, and this is the greatest reward of being physical therapists. We consider it a privilege when people place their trust in our knowledge and skills. The greatest complement has been when former patients return to us for other problems or when they recommend our services to their friends. We are truly proud to serve our friends and neighbors in the Battle Ground and Ridgefield areas.
